Bugaboo Turtle Air by Nuna Infant Car Seat
The Bugaboo Turtle Air is great for city folks who want all the bells and whistles of a full-featured car seat but in a compact package. The Turtle Air keeps your baby safe and snug from day one to 13kg (40 to 83cm), so you're covered for the next 15 months. It's designed to be lightweight, so you can tote around town with your mini partner in crime or take on further adventures with ease!
The Turtle Air car seat features an ultra-comfortable padding and merino wool insert to give your baby the support they need from day one. The insert also regulates their temperature to keep them comfy all season. Of course, it comes with the signature Bugaboo canopy and sunshade, which folds up to reveal an air mesh window for extra ventilation. The Turtle Air car seat also connects with Bugaboo strollers seamlessly in a few clicks with adapters. Now you can go from stroller to car and back without waking them up! Its no-rethread harness system makes it easy for you to achieve an optimal harness fit for your baby as they develop.
You can strap in the car seat in either using the European belt path or the Turtle Air by Nuna recline base if you’re in the US, and the Turtle Air by Nuna Isofix wingbase in the UK and Europe. Both bases are sold separately.
Once you've installed the base, you can simply click and go! Thanks to its 4 different recline positions, the recline base earns extra brownie points for added comfort as your baby grows. On the other hand, the Isofix wingbase has added side impact protection with protective wings for extra peace of mind.
Bugaboo Turtle One by Nuna Infant Car Seat
The Turtle One has most of the same features as the Turtle Air, but with fewer bells and whistles; it's almost like a no-frills version of the Air. Unlike the Air, though, the Turtle One doesn't have a few comfort and convenience features. It only has three harness positions and a rethread harness system, which requires you to manually move to a different slot to accommodate your baby as they grow. In addition, the Turtle One doesn't have a magnetic buckle holder, and its base doesn't recline; it's a simple click-and-go base with only one position. Please note that the Turtle One is not available in the UK and Europe.
Are the Bugaboo Turtle One by Nuna and Bugaboo Turtle Air by Nuna infant car seats available in Singapore?
No, the Bugaboo Turtle One by Nuna and Bugaboo Turtle Air by Nuna car seats are not available in Singapore for now. Bugaboo hasn't announced any plans to launch them in Asia.

What's also enticing about these two seats is their ergonomic handle and lightweight outer shell designed for your comfort. Both car seats weigh just 3kg, and this makes carrying the car seat and your baby to your car or wherever you go a doodle. So petite mums or caregivers with bad backs, this could be your perfect car seat.
Three's definitely not a crowd with the Bugaboo Turtle One/Air; it’s possibly one of the narrowest car seats in the market. At only 44cm wide, fitting three car seats at your backseat is an easy feat.
Despite its lightweight composition, the Bugaboo Turtle One/Air is designed to be robust to keep your baby safe from the moment they leave the hospital. It's crafted with energy-absorbing EPP foam for ample side impact protection in a crash. "It has something called Aeroflex, this sort of patented very special type of EPP foam that goes throughout the innards of the car seat, which is very flexible, very shock-absorbing. (This) makes it very safe and very light," Eli from Magic Beans explains in his video below.
2. Multiple installation options
There are two ways to install the Bugaboo One and Air car seats, with a base or the vehicle seat belt. The Turtle One and Air each have their own base, sold separately: the Bugaboo Turtle One by Nuna car seat base and Bugaboo Turtle Air by Nuna recline base (in the US) or Bugaboo Turtle Air by Nuna Isofix wingbase (in the UK & Europe).
All car seat bases are safe and easy to install and feature a built-in stability load leg to reduce crash forces and disperse them away from the car seat. They also have handy colour-guided indicators on the base to ensure a secure installation each ride, so you can have peace of mind behind the wheel.
The Turtle Air by Nuna recline base also features 4 different recline positions for optimal comfort as your baby grows. You can easily adjust the recline positions to accommodate your baby without having to uninstall the base (fuss-free!).
If you’re using the European version, the Turtle Air by Nuna Isofix wingbase is fitted with side impact wings which will automatically activate. The wings are specially engineered to diffuse any impact force and transfer it to the outer shell of the car seat to keep your baby safe.
To install the bases, simply align and push to attach the connectors to the ISOfix anchorages in your vehicle. After you've installed the base, you can easily click in your car seat in 3 seconds, and you're ready to travel. Oh and if your car doesn't have the anchorages, you can strap the base in securely with the vehicle seat belt, thanks to the lock-off device in the base (for Bugaboo Turtle Air by Nuna recline base and Bugaboo Turtle One by Nuna only).
If you need to travel by taxi or carpool frequently, you'll be glad to know that you can install the Bugaboo Turtle One/Air with the vehicle seatbelt! It has integrated European belt pathways, so you won't need to schlep a heavy base all over town or when you're on vacation.
"It can be used baseless, that means you do not need the infant car seat base in order to use it in a second vehicle…I could use it in an Uber taxi or another family vehicle.
