Founded by Thomas Lépine in 2013, Charlie Crane is a baby and children’s furniture design company that recognises that nursery furniture and those essential bits of baby gear that make life easier don’t have to be gaudy, ugly things that you feel the need to hide away at the end of the day. Drawing inspiration from mid-century Scandinavian design and 1950s French designers such as Jaques Hitier and Jean Prouvé, the Charlie Crane range is designed with such attention to detail that you’ll be proud to have it on display throughout your home.
The designers at Charlie Crane knew that nursery furniture is rarely confined to the nursery alone; the baby bouncer will live in your living room, your rug will be replaced with a baby playmat, and even the crib has a habit of creeping out of the baby’s room! So they knew that these items needed to uphold the aesthetic standards of the house as a whole.
