Cybex MIOS: Independent Customer Product Review

If you live in a city like Singapore and you’re out and about with your child a lot, the Cybex Mios is probably your dream pram. It’s luxurious, lightweight, compact, convenient and simple to use! The Mios works just as well for a day out at Sentosa as it does for a stroll at Labrador Park or a quick stop at a cafe/grocery store. This nifty ride is well-adapted for Singapore, where buggies have to be convenient and compact for parents to hop into a taxi/bus/train easily and to navigate the busy city streets/malls. Read further for a few reviews we’ve collated just for you and if you’re not sure if the Mios is the best for your family, consult us. Instead of sifting through thousands of options, let us—Elise, a real person—help you find your perfect buggy.

1. Perfect For Singapore's Weather

If you’re living in Sunny Singapore, where the weather is warm and humid all year round, you’ll probably need a stroller fitted with breathable seat fabric and an extendable canopy (over the bumper bar!) to keep your baby comfortable. Thanks to its zip-out canopy with UPF 50+ protection, the Mios provides reliable protection from the weather elements. No more sweaty bums and backs with the Mios’ mesh backrest and leg rest: simply remove the seat liner for extra ventilation when out and about under the heat. Truly made for Singapore’s balmy weather! Watch the video below by Magic Beans for more features of the Mios.

 2. Great For Taxi/Public Transportation Use

Lightweight and compact when folded, Mios is handy for public transport and taxi/car rides. It features a nifty one-hand fold, making it convenient for you to hop in and out of taxis/cars/public transit with bub. Simply fold down the stroller and grab the handle at the back of the seat to transport it. "There's no bending down to the ground or doing anything awkward," says Eli from Magic Beans, "there's a little handle for you to lift this into your car or bring it up the stairs."

The Mios, being only 50cm wide, is "a real bonus when shopping, out for lunch or navigating bus and tube stations", according to Kelly from Pushchair Expert. P.S. the Mios folds into a compact self-standing position (read: small footprint) so you can easily stow it away in your storeroom/hallway or at crowded restaurants/public transport.

3. Superior Maneuverability Over All Terrains

The Mios is—without a doubt—for you if you love to take bub for a stroll in the park. Featuring all-wheel suspension, the Mios smooths out the bumps and handles changes in flooring with ease. Bub will enjoy a smooth ride as you maneuver down the crowded city streets/malls or when you’re out on a long walk on an uneven boardwalk at the Southern Ridges. "We were always able to maneuver around the tightest of corners and through the smallest gaps, using just one hand!" says Kelly. For extra stability, you can lock the front wheel in place. Watch her video down below to see how the Mios performs on different surfaces.
